Tuk-Tuks (three-wheeler taxis)
Tuk-tuks are very common in Sri Lanka, you can literally find Tuks anywhere at any time, especially in the tourist destinations. Even if you are tempted to take the bus, it can get tricky at times, and if you get lost it would take you some time to get back on track, so we recommend using Tuk Tuks.
By train
Train can be slower than buses, depending on whether you are on a line that offers an express train or not, but are generally more comfortable and even less expensive than buses. There are 3 classes of trains, although 1st and 2nd class are only available on some intercity and express trains.
