Country official name— Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka

Maximum length- 435 kms(Point Pedro to Deundara head)
Maximum width- 225 kms ( Colombo to Sangaman Mountain)
No of population – 21,670,000 people
Legislative capital – Sri jayawardhanapura, Kotte.
3 biggest cities– Colombo (Commercial Capital), Kandy, Galle.
Administrative units – 9 Provinces, 25 Districts, 160 Electorates, 256 AGA Divisions.
